Remedy / Autumn Breeze
Remedy: a poem of adolescence
By Kaitlyn Tiffany
She is controlled by demons
That tell her she is no good,
Without any reasons
She is left scared of adulthood
For a moment,
She can feel sweet relief
By escaping the torment
Amongst piles of autumn leaves
But soon this bliss will fade away
Visions become hazy, like when on a carousel
And she will remember what those demons used to say
While under winter’s frozen spell
Nature becomes a sanctuary
When their voices drown out the melody
If only she knew that her fears were imaginary,
She would be able to find a remedy
